weather is warming up, guess its time to hit the range in preparation for games.
I guess old habits die hard, the flaws I tried to correct last year are still there
I think I am gonna give up correcting for now, as long as I don over doing it, I should be okay.

driver stats
launch angle 13-15
spin rate 3300-3600
Ball speed 130-138

IH,

Nice to finally see your swing in action, HD no less.

I like the pivot action.

Also, interesting use of mood lighting in the filming.

From the layers of clothing, it looks cold where you are.

I look forward to more videos from you.

this was the first visit to the driving range since 09/10. how time flies.....
mood lighting? no lah.... that was the infra red heater from the wall behind me. the temp was around 5 celsius last night. not a drop of sweat after hitting 70 balls Smile

comparing with yr swing, yours has a lot more potential in progressing in my opinion. Tht's why I said to you u r blessed with a good start.

i guess u hav seen the flaws I was referring. My biggest problem was 'lifting'. Tried hard to eliminate this with very little success as it kept creeping into my swings. I am now slowly beginning to accept it.

Anyone who can get impact like that with a 4 iron deserves due respect. Shows your pivot is working effectively.

I like how quiet your feet are through impact, providing a steady and consistent foundation for the pivot. It is outstanding.

From the video, it is clear you hit or drive the shaft with your right hand if i'm not mistaken. So, i bet your iron shots are deadly accurate.

As you know, the 'lifting' (high upperbody and arms at the top of the backswing, if that's what you are referring to) is part of your hit, which needs the height in order to load the shaft. To reduce or eliminate the lifting, the pivot has to be changed. As we know, changing the pivot is a deep revamp.

Your ball flight is consistent, straight with the occasional slight fade. And with a pivot that hits a 4 iron like that, what's not to like? Smile Cool

thks everyone for the compliments but it wasnt compliments tht I was seeking for when I posted the video. I hope u guys wil post yr swings here like i did. (tape some golf swings lah, not just bed scenes with yr gf...lol (jst kidding)

Lee,
Appreciate how u tried to justify my swing flaws. As long as it does what I want, I couldn't be happier. haven't really noticed if i hit with my rt hand, I'd like to think both hands work as a single unit maintaining the triangle. On the contrary, another less serious fault of mine is tht the rt hand tends to be too quiet and forget to release on occasion. solid foundation is very important for me too and the preparation for this is 100% during ball set up n proper weight shift.
I guess you have sensed that I am not tht into perfect text book swing (because I tried and failed), I have come to the realisation tht u dun hav to hit perfectly each time to hav a good round. I try not to get too technical so much so it will only confuse me more. some friends say I hav a 'simplistic' approach to the game. BUT you, you are a different breed altogether lol

brian,
the word reminds me of 'kung fu Panda', my wife says I am more n more like him, I reply 'who ask you to cook such good food!' lol

lil puppy,
tolong lah, u just wanna stay low profile so tht u can sapu all the 'bets', u think ppl don knw meh.

AG,
com'on, if we hav chance to meet up, 3/4 of the handicap difference , couldn't be fairer!! p/s on the condition tht u keep yr handicap up to date...otherwise I kena makan pula hahaha (it has happened b4, blardy hell, lost rm300 tht day, I die also remember)

cognac
u will vomit blood when u see during my 'off' days.

if the swing works.
u knw as well as I do. one day u r hitting bulleyes, the next day all find the trees. Smile

it looks consistent because I think I found my right tempo, this inevitably helps to achieve the balanced finish.

IH,

Finally after all these years, I saw your swing in video. I am not good enough to made any comment about your swing. To me, as long as the ball go where you wanted it to go.. There is a good swing.

It have been some time I did not post my swing.. I wonder how I look hehehhe

evertime he finishes his swing and 'follow through'......i no longer capable of holding my breath and laugh.... lol...

it works like miracle after watching it 10times.... hahaha... omgg...

omg....pls don't tell me its someone from this forum? he started swinging at address, before starting his backswing.... -_-

.... lol...

well in my oppinion, your swing are already in good shape, maintaining the swing would be a greater challenge.

will try to post my swing as soon as i get it polished back. stopped golfing for >5months now. before chinese new year had few DR session and then went into the course, to accompany my father. omg....my short game was disastrous.... totally lack of confidence in everything.

by the way, where are you now? DR with infra red heaters...so canggih...hahah.. does it feel odd to swing with thick clothing?
