First things first.

I need a new driver.

All search seems to point to Epic or Epic a Sub Zero...

Hmmm... which should I go for?

depends, tbh almost all the new drivers m1,m2,g400,epic would approx go the same distance
The epic star range(they're from japan i think) wont give you any loft adjustability)
i'd advice you to try it out at the epic some custom fitting place so that you like the feel and look of it and make sure it doesn't give you any freakishly high spin as it might lead to a massive loss of distance

but anyways but epic and epic sub zero are great models, try them out first at a custom fitting shop and go with the ones they gives you better consistency and numbers

Hypaphantom,

That's great. Any idea where I can try them with launch monitors? I am interested to find out the numbers.

Am at MST Subang SS 13 now.

Staff just told me the only carry Epic Star, ni Epic, no Epic Sub Zero. He suggested Transview...

Any Transview in Klang Valley area with hitting bat and launch monitor I can try Epic and Sub Zero (nit Epic Star).

Thanks.

ah yea transview, i think they're the biggest distributor of callaway products in malaysia, but I'm not sure which stores carry a launch monitor as they're not as big as MST.

transview store locator: http://transviewgolf.com.my/outlet/malaysia/
my best bet would be KGPA, they also have a custom fitter by the name of david there who uses a launch monitor.

Wow, just check the date of my last post before this, and it was 3 years ago....

Time flies...

Have put on weight in conjunction of going back to normal working life and therefore sitting down 9-10 hours a day. That's why they say sitting down is more dangerous than smoking I guess.

Re-started range session last month.... easily lost 2 clubs distance.... adoi.

Focused on increasing driver distance last night,

You know you've given the driver swing all you've got when your last meal wants t come out and see how far the ball went.

I think I'll just leave it there...

I practice at Kota Permai range.

About the pain, take due care of your body.

Firstly, if it hurts, there is a problem. Not it be confused with soreness. Muscle soreness is good, they will cope with the soreness by growing stronger.

But pain is a sign of abnormal stress the body was not intended to handle. The body cannot grow stronger in response to pain. Something will eventually break.

Actually, pain (or avoiding it) is one of my favourite topics.

When my swing change hurts, either on the spot or over time, it is a sure sign something is wrong in my swing.

On the other hand, I love soreness. That show my body will grow stronger, given enough nutrition and rest.

I want to enjoy golf God willing for a long time. So I must take care of my most important equipment, the body God has given me.

After many months of being too busy for any form of exercise, putting on weight, I took advantage of the recent extra long weekend and hit a total of 400-500 balls in that weekend. I was prepared for my body to be in shock, prepared for some pain. The first 100 was tough. Not spring chicken anymore...

After that session, the body could handle 150-200 at one go without complaining. The body springs right back despite the long layoff.

Not a matter of how old you are (unchangeable), but how fit you are (changeable).

Have fun out there. Keep your swing pain-free.
