Played there today. Perfect condition, with a little sun and a very light drizzle. can cool down ma.

Anyway, the fiarways are perfect, the greens are fabulous but a bit slow. Tee box can be improved.

Paid RM108 with lunch and caddy. Seems like a good deal for a course in this condition...

Playing again tomorrow at Palm Spring, Senai... Laughing Laughing

Hi everyone

With the opening of the Arnold Palmer Palm 9 Hole, The Legends have "renamed" the 3 x 9 Holes: i) Palmer Palm ii) Nicklaus Hill iii) Nicklaus Water Course respectively.

The "old" course used to be the Hill (front 9) and Water (back 9). Now they have 3 x 9 holes course.

Just a word about the new Palm course. Those of you who may have played there when it was just opened will be happy to note that the grass have matured quite nicely - lush fairways and reasonable speed greens. Bunkers are strategically placed so course management is critical. Generally it is a downhill tee shot and uphill approach - club selection is critical to play regulation greens. Trees are also placed strategically to ensure you do not have a direct and long tee-off - if you can draw or fade, attacking the greens will not be a problem. For the rest of us mortal golfers, playing bogey could be a bonus.

To me, this is a shot maker's course. You will probably use all your clubs if you play off Blue.

Not sure if they gonna complete the 2nd - dont see any construction for another 9. For the old course they named it Nickaus Hill and Water course respectively.

I understand the original intention was to have 4 x 18 named after the US golf giants. Maybe due to lack of $$ that the construction has been halted / delayed.

Played the Hills and water course this Monday. The course was in decent condition considering the amount of rain lately most issues where in the rough and in the bunkers. Some bunkers had a lot of sand and some of them was just clay with some standing water so not very good.

In general I must say that it was not a bad day out though, we paid 78 MYR per head with a buggy and in my book the course was more than worth that price.

The Legends is one of the good courses in Johor Bahru.

Good
- Good Caddies
- Scenic
- Reasonable price
- Reasonable fairway and green maintenance

Bad
- Bunker conditions
- Club Restaurant Service
- Pro Shop Merchandise

It is very worth playing in overall.

Cheers!
