Hi Guys

this is my first post. I've played in Palm Villa twice now. It's a very well maintained course. Not too difficult for a beginner like me.

As stated by Jax, there are 3x9 holes course, Palm, Putra and IOI. the IOI course is a slightly tougher course. The facilities are great too.

Hey Jax, you seem to have gone to many courses in JB. Which are your best 3 courses thus far?

Cheers

Well.......my preference are as follows:

1. Tg Puteri @ Pasir Gudang, Johor
2. The Legends @ Kulai, Johor
3. Poresia @ Nusantara, Johor

Poresia for me a nice, but its Buggy on Track and the undulating terrains make it a bit tough for a old man like me.......tired.... Rolling Eyes

Played here for about 4 or 5 times..generally a easy course. not very undulating, not very long, greens are fairly flat or you can see the breaks clearly...

During peak hours th buggy station can be a little chaotic as the area for you to get your buggy and the parking station are the same place.

overall a golf course with little stress..

the noodles are fantastic in the golfer's terrace...

Green fees are RM200+ before 1pm and RM128 after 1pm (on weekends). I am not sure about weekdays as I have not played there. AGS is cheaper by RM10/- so I usually don't bother to book through AGS...

I am playing there again tomorow with a bunch of consultants from Spore.

One thing I observed when I played there yesteray was...caddie...There some benches right in front of the registration counter where the caddie sits (which is unique as normally caddie are not allowed to be in the club house). The suprising thing is, in front or above those benches, there is a sign saying "China Caddies" and I think its RM52+ per round (18 holes).

How about that?

Ginn

The police just did a raid at Palm Villla for the "China Caddies" for offering extra service. Played there yesterday, and there is no caddy service.

First time playing in Johor - Palm Villa course is quite well maintained. The greens are quite consistent but not Seri Selangor or Beringin Standard. However the fairway is good with not much wild grass.

Played palm & ioi, quite stress free course with wide fairways though Palm couse have some long tricky Par 3 over water hazard. Course design quite similar to Tasik Puteri for anyone familiar with it.

played at palm villa over the last Thursday, 1/9/2011.
apprx. 15min drive from Skudai.
apprx. 8min drive from Senai airport.
generally easy course.
very clean & well-maintained fairway.
green is a bit slower.
bunker's drainage system needs to be improved. some like a mini mud-lake.
played RM68 per pax, friends have a special deal.
would visit again Smile

Hope the next time you play there, you will play even better. For a 4 month old golfer you are swinging very very well.

Looking forward to hearing your scores getting lower and lower!

Cheers!
