Salam and hi all!
Last Monday Dec 29, 2008 i managed to get back to the course after almost 3 years of my last visit. I was told that the course are gettin better and since i like sometimes to play waling golf so here i come again. Played with hishammn and mnshaarol. Tee off at 7.15am
As public holiday walk in guest like us charged Rm30 per person. Overall this is a short course with 4 par 3's, 4 par 4's and 1 par 5. But since its hilly, you'll feel it straight away. Both hishammn and mnshaarol with their trolleys and i'm just 'pikul' my bag lah. Pull out few irons and hybrid and lets hit it. Just carry a driver and irons from 5 - S. BTW iron 5 not in used at all so next time, off u go! So i think my bag is lighter than their trolley's hahaha.
Its a mix count on my card. Biasala.. amatur hehehe but managed to score 1 eagle, 3 birdies, pars, bogeys, double bogeys and even a double par! hahaha
At the end i enjoy myself eventho my leg feels the pain a little bit.
Before i left the course, i found out what is noticed on their notice board about the new rate for 2009. They are increasing the fee by RM10 means weekday is Rm30 and weekend/ph Rm40. Make me down straight away since comparing to my SSG danau is Rm40 per round. Duhh... bye bye ILSAS lah!
Here i share some of my snaps using my tiny lens of N73.
Cheers!

Hi all bro! I am new here in this forum and find this an interesting way of sharing experiences and courses. I went to Ilsas this morning (Sunday 11 Jan) to see the course for myself after feedback from all bros here.... unfortunately, there was a tournament so couldn't play ler....
I tried calling the numbers given in this thread but there was no answer.... any idea if there is other numbers to contact - just in case so that I don't go dissapointed again next time...
Thanks!

Just came back from Ilsas this evening on Federal Territory Holidays. All clubs full so, we went to Ilsas, for the 1st time.
My summary:
1. It's very hilly, so personally, climbing up and down the hills was the tiring bit (I can do walking, but climbing is a different thing all together). However, it might just be my stamina, cos a lot of other flights, seems to have no problem with it. Very steady they were, even the seniors.
2. Most of the time your second shots would be on an uphill or downhill lie.
4. However, my credit goes to it's green. Very nice & smooth greens to putt.
5. There are two holes (can't remember which) that crosses each other via the fairway. So, while you're teeing-off on this hole, another flight will also tee-off, from your left, crossing your fairway, and on to your right.
6. Paid RM40 inc. trolley.
7. The last hole (the 9th) was the ultimate uphill battle. I would imagine a friendlier terrain as you're finishing your last hole. Nope, not this one.
8. My advice to play here is: travel light. I think a half-set would be suffice. My full set was an overkill for me. When you're less tired, you'll enjoy the game more.
9. Overall, it's a challenging course, but a manageable one.
Coming again?
Most probably not. If so, will bring only half-set.
Similar Comparison.
Carey Island is a walking 9-hole course too, but has friendlier flat terrains.
Note:
Thanks to LHY for the phone number you gave. The person-in-charge with that mobile number is Mr. Riduan Harisa, very nice friendly fella. He'll assist you for directions on getting to the golf course.
Cheers!

tried the course last friday. hardly anyone on the course.
very short course but requires precision golf. it can be termed a commando course for that reason and also for being undulating and hilly. greens are well kept, serangoon if not mistaken. fairway is cow grass.
since there are no caddies, you can bring your own.
otherwise, pulling a trolley or carrying golf bag would really test your stamina and fitness.
overall a must try for all golfers.....
there's a cafeteria selling drinks and snacks.
RM30 green fees is for the whole day. so, plan your work. try to play 36 holes.
i am sure you will sleep soundly at night.....

Just tried the course this morning, not too bad, in fact a good course for beginner to train their stamina and golf skill. better than you go Bukit Utama
the green is much better than some golf clubs like Kinrara, Bukit Kemuning and Bukit Beruntung.
walking course is abit tired, but still good
as recommend by some golfers here, do not bring 14 clubs to go there.
Driver, 3/4 hybrid, Iron6, 8, P, Sand and your putter will do.
although the green fees may looks expensive if you play 9 holes, but if you play 54 holes, well-worth of money. food and drink there is damm cheap!

My advice, it is better to carry your own bag (half set) instead of pulling the trolley...
I played there on 29th Dec 2008...pulling the trolley uphill and downhill, "stengah mati oh " after completing 18 holes...no thanks for 27 or 36 holes even though you get to play free as one charge applied for playing the whole day.
This course is for the fittest, physically
Agreed on some of the comments here, not a bad course really...see a few of the pics I have captured :-

very nice photos!
a friend of mine carried his 1/2 set and was out of breath too!
so, whether you use trolley or carry bag, still the same case.....
