Prisoners were executed and buried here during the 2nd. world war by the Japanese army. Coincidentally this golf course was the first to introduce night golfing. But night golfing stopped after a short while. Dun know why!

one of my friend play there before, he tee his short nicely and close to the pin and suddenly he heard a voice beside says 'nice ball' and clapping hands. They look at each others and nobody says anything. And when they get to the green they saw 4 balls close to the pin and everyone just pick their own ball and leave the green as fast as they can.

I also hear from another golfer said that the caddy there will only work until 7pm but don't know if this is true as i never been there before.

Anyone here play there before?

Here are the 2 eerie stories I heard about Templer's Park Golf:

A group pf golfers were playing night golf and the last flight somehow just did not show up in the club house long after the 2nd last flight finished. Worried, the friends checked with the club but the staff said he saw nobody and actually turned off the floodlights. Being more worried, the marshall turned on the floodlights again and a group of them went out to search for the 4 friends. After a long while their effort ended in vein. As they were still trying to comprehend the strange happening, the marshall got a call from his walkie that the 4 friends were back to the clubhouse. Later they found out that these 4 guys were lost in the middle of the course and asked a man on how to get to the next tee. The man pointed them to a path which was heading to nowhere. From there, they were stuck in the middle of the course and made worse when the floodlights were off. They only managed to get back to the clubhouse when the floodlights were on again the second time.

The second story I heard was about a flight of golfers hitting all their balls on the middle of the fairway (night golf also), when they got to the fairway, they found strays of balls which they felt they could have sure seen if the balls were there during the time of their tee-offs.

Believe it or not.

played here before. that's in the day time. nothing ghostly happened except some monkeys trying to steal food from your buggy. these monkeys might be even trained to steal your mobile phones, so be very careful of your belongings.

very nice course to play...challenging enough to make you go back to conquer the course again. one of the holes has a huge pond in front of the green. really psycho u Razz

PLay there quite often .... plz do not let d scary story to ignore how beautiful this course is.

Weekday rm165/pax, challanging (narrow fairway, horizontal green, big endulating and lots of bungker).

Beautiful course, build afround TAKUN mountain. Juz had 2 really cool, 2 play at dis course due to too many japaness and korean; they ply so slow. If 1 flight (4 of them) in front of u; had 2 take almost 8 - 10 per shot. Crying or Very sad

But won't stop me going back and ply again, coz really challanging and 2 time malaysia open is help there.

Cheers -- CSL

played there recently...
i find it tough to stop the ball on the green (maybe due to my lack of spinability)
but the conditions of the course are pretty good, tho the greens are slower than what i would have like

Just played there last week. And yes, there were rumours of certain holes having 'friendly guests' but was fortunate enough not to encounter any Smile

As for the greens, I had similar problems, then realise that most greens were a little dome shaped. I thought it was just me, until I hit the rest area and overheard other players calling it a 'turtle shell' Very Happy

Will definitely go back there again. Nice and enjoyable course!

Played here y'day. Their current walk-in promo rate is RM145nett (incl green, buggy, caddy and insurance)

As they say a picture paints a thousand words, so here are the pix!!!

Overall, I love this course, less crowded when we played y'day...the registration staff are very friendly and efficient...professional caddy provided by them (Brian gave the girl RM60 as tips!!!) food and drinks are very reasonable pricing, no major complaint except the rough are really rough and the extremely hot weather towards noon time!!! Oh yes, monkeys are not many in sight this time except one big self-proclaimed "Monkey" sitting right next to me inside the buggy all through the 18 holes and telling me spooky stories which he heard from some1 else Laughing Laughing Laughing

Do click at the picture to enlarge for better viewing...

And please do not end your game in this bunker before the green at the 18th hole Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad
