This used to be my training course initially, as it was only RM30 for weekend, unlimited golf.

However, it's a walking course. I used to play holes 1-6, and then repeat them as holes 7 - 9 sucks.

One of the best hideout golf course in klang valley where me n my kaki detour to the said Course .... despite being way out. Must try if u are around that area

I went looking for this course after playing having lunch @ Carey Island & found it tucked deep inside the Guthrie estates.

When I asked the registration how much it cost 2 play there, I was told "Abang bayar RM20 boleh main sampai pengsan!" Music to my ears!!!

it's only RM20 for green fee and RM5 for trolley. u can play unlimited rounds.
I must try this course.....

wahhh... RM20 unlimited golf sounds like not only music... heaven lah!!!! how to get there ah?? can somebody tell me how?

Pulau Carey is it an island ka?? i heard kena naik boat, is it true???

First take a boat across the river; if u can't find a boat around, go the seafood restaurant before the bridge & hire an elephant!!!!

Aiyah ppl!!! No need to get boats or elephants 2 get therelah!!! From Kesas h/way, exit towards Banting. Before u reach Banting, there's a roundabout (sort of) that heads 2wards Carey Island. Drive sampai the chinese seafood restaurants (VERY GOOD & CHEAP seafood!!!). Go across the bridge & drive straight on. By this time u'll be in the Guthrie Estates. U'll pass some Guthrie buildings 2 yr right (think it's a training center). Drive straight on until u reach a guard post. They'll stop u 2 check. From there, u'll have to drive straight on until u reach the course (it's still a ways off from the guard post if i remember correctly).

It's quite a drive actually!!!

DISCLAIMER: It's been over a year since I went there, so if the above directions are off or if you find yourself in Singapore instead, i humbly ask for forgiveness.

Anyways, based on my observation, the course is flat.

Carey island golf course review - report by harimau

distance: 140km (2-way from damansara perdana)

green fee: weekday-RM20, weekend-RM30 (for unlimited rounds)

trolley rental: RM5

Direction to Carey Island Golf Course

1. drive to kesas highway and head towards pulau indah/west port.
2. take left at banting exit.
3. drive along the banting road, after you pass NEC and Toshiba, you will come to a round about, continue to go straight.
4. Look out for a signage to turn right into carey island road. you will come to a bridge with 2 seafood restaurant on each side.
5. go straight until u see a sign with 'Heritage XXXX', take left ( there will be a pondok police once u turn in.
6. just go straight from there until u see a golf course, u will pass by a hospital (approximately about 12km from the police hut)
7. park your car and you can play golf now!!!! Congrats!!! you have reached carey island golf course

Food

Beware, there is no golfer's terrace in this golf course. nearest place to eat is at an indian restoran with 3 tables only. Please eat before u play there. As for dinner, you can eat at the seafood restaurant at the bridge as it's good and cheap. enjoy seafood at the price of a McD.

Golf Course

It's a 9-hole course. Fairway is well maintained. Green are so-so. Make sure you putt harder.
tee box are not easy to find....you have to start with hole no.2 and ends at hole no.1. Please make sure u are fit to walk 5km under the hot sun to play here. i have to stop after 15 holes because my buddy cannot walk already. for hole no. 3 and hole no. 4, you will tee-off next to the sea. for those who like fishing, u can bring your fishing rod there as well . Overall i would rate it as a value for money golf course. Lookout for some beautiful scenaries especially the pond with lotus flower...****ing nice!!! alright...going for my ciggy now. bye!!!

Well guys, the course is now an 18 hole golf course. However I played the 2nd nine about 3 weeks back and until now my friend and I have'nt stop cursing the organiser. Joking only lay. Can you imaging a course that is open such as those in the british open scotland with the rough that have long grass that once a ball entered, you would not want bothered to find it because it is definately lost. Now also imaging the open course when the sun is searing above thus you are cook like a goose in the oven. Hardly any shade that you can use think of. Now also think of walking the three over kilometers in that place. I only last seven hole before I gave up.

Well I may try that nine again only if the weather is much cooler.

It is a 18 hole golf course, but it only open first 9 for public, the second 9 is for sime darby functions n tournament only if not mistaken..... unless u kenal the manager there, he might be able to bring u and play the second 9....

I've played here once and find it a very unique course - hidden inside a huge palm oil plantation. I went there again last month only to find out that the course was closed to public that day because of some company tournament.... was disappointed as it's quite a way to drive there.

any bros here has got the contact numbers to the club house? I have tried calling the number in this thread many times but no one picked up.... worth giving the club a call first next time before heading all the way there
