Don't play here after it rains. Drainage not that good and you'll find (or not find) your golf ball plugged.

Ya, Agreed. Plugged balls are one of the problems of this course. I think the regulars normally play their own winter rules so you can pick up, wipe and use the preferred lie for your next shot.

Decent all around and since it's at Templer's area, it's fairly cooling and you get some nice scenery as well. Greens are decent and fairways are alright as well. You get a good mix of wide and narrow fairways and you should definitely check the hazards and length of each hole before tee-ing off if you are a hard / long hitter.

I think the second nine is more challenging than the first simply because the fairways are tighter and there are more hazards mixed with trees to make your life a little tougher.

Overall, not too bad but I really would like to get to know the course more because I've only played there less than 10 times.

I played in Perangsang two days ago with two of my golf buddies. It was our first time playing there. I hope the management can improve on the maintenance of the golf course. The fairway would be better if they cut the grass. More, the greens are not consistent. Some are faster and some are slower. Nevertheless, the setting of the golf course was awesome and the view was amazing. The caddie was very helpful and she know her stuff very well.

p/s: next time when i come here again, i will bring along my fishing gear. i saw many big fishes swimming in the pond. i think it's toman or peacock bass.

Just an update, we played here today 7 Nov 2008.
I rained the past few days prior to today and the fairways were fairly dry except for some
spots here and there.

It was a sunny day today and it didn't rain at all.
Greens were consistently fast and one of my friends even commented that it is similar to Tropicana's.

Fairways are cow grass and the course is fairly flat.
Nice place to play even for beginners.

Start early on a Friday. We started at 9.30am and ended at 1.45pm just before the crowd came in.

Playing today was fast and smooth as there were only a few flights.

Green fees was RM85 which included buggy, insurance and a meal.
However it was compulsory to 1 caddy per flight.
We didn't complain much as they were efficient and friendly (ladies).
We took 2 caddies.

Worked out to be RM115 per person inclusive tip to the caddies.

Hope that helps.

I played at PTGC last week.... the fairways are getting better after maintained by Saujana. The rough, u need more than 5 minutes to find your ball. The worst part is the green. So many 'kurap'. i hope they can repair the green because the place is quite enjoying to play.

and also got lots of 'babi hutan' over there. They like to guling2 on the green n fairway at night. I believe that is the reason for the banyak kurap.

Golf Promotions dated 08/05/2009. (Taken from www.ptgc.com.my )

I believe caddy is compulsory for all AGN, AGS, GLI, SSG & Vistor. Cost per caddy... not sure maybe Rm35-45..
Caddy is optional for club's member or member's guest (Must play along with member)

Please update me on the condition. (My bro played there last week, he said... Greens r ok.. but he lost 3 balls over the course of 9holes ... lost it on the fairway... and it did rain the day before.. )

I just joined this club. I heard they have improved a lot because they changed the management or smtg. Not 100% sure though.
