i have used bushnell..... my buddy using nikon...
to me its all the same.... at the end of the aiming and analyzing its still u getting the ball there.... and trying to move a ~1.5" size ball in a ~4 cup with crazy golfmate running around ~150 acres of grass... soon u will realize its all guestimates....

i traded in after ~5 rounds of golf for something else (can't remember).. if it gives you confident every time you aim thru it... then buy it

with slope rating, its illegal I believe.
best way to cut a few strokes is thru professional golf coach.

My thoughts on range finder is instead of this, perhaps better to use gps watch based device. Such as garmin, Tom tom.. Or on some smart watch. I'm currently using garmin approach s6.

I was once looking for range finder too so I asked around and majority of the people using it says that they somehow give up on using it after some time. Accuracy is good however it's a bit cumbersome.

One of them even loaned me one for a while and to me it's true.. It does speed up play in a way but the routine get to the ball - fire range - get club - return kinda tiring.

The watch provides a glance measurement and it's on the wrist.

My 2 cents.

Would like to know about reading accuracy of the watch if you can share. How does the watch work? Thanks.

Hi,

Accuracy is pretty good. I don't think it's too far off. Also my belief is 2-3 yards for my game doesn't mean much. In a way that I can't get my shot within 1 yard accuracy so not really important to me. If I need to carry hazard, I err more on more yardage.

I'm not sure on the exact accuracy but it's within reasonable measure. It's been in the market for quite some time so I doubt if it's inaccurate.

The watch work by calculating distance between the watch and center of green using gps. The center of green is marked by the manufacturer - via mapping. You can manually track hazards using the watch if you want. At least the Garmin that I used.

Also it can help preset your favorite yardage.. Ie I like my 6 iron.. So the watch will give you layup distance so that your approach will be with my 6 iron.

Hope this helps.

Some discussion and comments on accuracy.

By the way, the latest s6 is not tournament compliant. Due to phone notification (least used function anyway but..).

If you ask me go for s5, cheaper with similar important function. Improvement in s6 is nice to have only.
