was there on monday dec the 10th, as Mr Mkhee said alot of water logged area / soggy / almost every hole had a GUR of water log....yes hole 10 is under quite some renovations / facelift.

defiantly a challenging course for a beginner.

I heard about teh parang n dog story too.... apparently they slice the ball pretty hard and it hit one of the houses behind the trees....

Cheers have a good day.

anybody have any experiences playing night golf here? care to share some?
im concerned about 'cari bola' coz beginners like me hit fairways not too often....
and is it fun? or hard to even see where your ball lands?

it is not a good course for night golf.

1st, the light is quite dim, it is hard to search for ball.
2nd, with the raining season lately in evening, when the grasses get wet, the reflection is even higher, hard to search for ball
3. tight fairway, once you off, hard to search your ball.

if you want to play night golf, KGSAAS and Tropicana are the only 2 i can recommend you.

Crazy long queues at registration. These days you need to be there at 630am to ensure you don't have to wait 30 minutes for your t-time!

The course is in pretty good nick despite the rain. Greens are in good condition but a touch slow. Fairways are decent but with almost no run.

Green fees are reasonable at for walk-ins at RM80 including buggy and breakfast.

Even celebrities like the legendary Zainal Abidin http://eyulily.com/2012/04/zainal-abidin-term-future-legend-concert-fun/ can't resist a round at KGSS! Yeah, he was behind my flight on 20.12.2012. Guess we will need to fit in 18 holes before the end of the world Rolling Eyes

Happy 2013!

Fairways are in fair condition.

Rough is still long and hard to find wayward balls.

Greens are good probably running at 8.5-9.0

Worth the RM80 per round for green fees and buggy.

Good luck.

Was there yesterday buy balls.
The greens just hallow tinned so may be a bit grainy and slow. Otherwise course looks great and will be quite empty during Ramadan. Saw solos paying even.

I think you will enjoy yourself.. Now not many people playin in the morning .. I believe same during this Tuesday holiday. The course is not a beginner course but don't worry so much and enjoy. I played and was scorching hot.. Course is in good condition - firm fairway. Green a bit sandy. Not many people if you want to enjoy, let ppl pass. Yup there's people playing solo too but like training (taking multiple shot).. They should let other people pass, really not to stall the queue.

Just finished a round at Amverton Cove, Pulau Carey around 4 something.
This is also a good and suitable course for beginners, quite friendly and fairly short with decent conditions - except the greens are fairly large and speed not that consistent at present.
Now Ramadan offer weekdays at 98 and Sunday pm also at 98 quite reasonable and today as there was a big flight booking they ran out of caddies so we did not need to take one.
