Maybe can explain why each course was selected? Except for Seri Selangor, most listed not really favorite course and only Seri Selangor considered championship course. UPM? Seriously?

I would think Glenmarie deserved to be there. The hill and slopes fairway, tight landing area and pin placement. Seri Selangor due to tight fairway and pin placement. Some of the courses in Melaka should be considered as well - windy conditions like playing on links course.

UPM- Don't think that this is a beginner course.
First nine still ok. Fair to play. Second nine will suffer.(Climb up and down)
Hole 1,2, 9, 14, 15,16 & 18. even you drive your ball straight to the fairway, but no need to find your ball at the fairway, won't be there. The greens same as the Templer Park green fast and thru'.developed by UPM.

Selesa Hill- Fairway tight and narrow even some hole no fairway. Off fairway don't waste your time to find ball, the rough higher than your knee some even waist. Big ravine at some hole. Greens hard and bumpy. Advice to bring atleast 20 balls.

KRTU- Fairway tight and narrow. Off fairway also suffer. Many old tree along fairway, pond at some hole. Course management is a must. Don't ngeh ngeh hantam. Undulating fairway and greens.

Just to add some comments to yours on KRTU. Good training grounds to horn one skills all round.

Some holes need long drives to reach the greens in regulation, eg hole 4 (par 4 404m), hole 18 (par 4 424m).

Some holes have deep greenside bunkers which you can't see from the green, the players in them (holes 12 & 18. Must be able fly ball high onto the green from the bunker.

Hole 7 (par 3 about 180m) demands accuracy as the green is on an island surrounded by water.

I had a chance to play Saujana Subang GC recently on its Palm Course, would say the hardest course ever
encountered especially the signature hole called ,"the stadium".

Would like to nominate Tawau Hot Spring Golf Club as well. Tight and challenging course, one of the Par 5 even carries 600m uphill.

More than just challenging. It can be very provoking to playing it esp for the 1st time. This course teaches one to be patient and to manage one's shots thoughtfully to set up for the next one. If a golfer just hentam kuat kuat all the times there, more than a dozen balls can easily be lost. The course lay out is challenging for sure.
