Have MP53 with NS (Nippon Steel) PRO 950GH. fits great and feels very nice. 53 aren't available anymore, but yesterday I sighted 54 and suppose those are at least as good. 53 is the perfect combination between forgiveness and great design, after more than a year, I still would not trade with anything else Laughing

Yes correct, but it's the most forgiving iron on the MP line and on the same level as JPX 825 pro, according to Mizuno. I personally believe it can be used from HC 20 downwards.

I doubt anyone will want to sell their MP 64 as it is quite a new model. You'll have better chances going for MP 62.

Try ebay or 3balls, you can set up a product alert with 3balls and they will alert you when there is such a model available.

Just bought a set of MP H4s, the most forgiving irons in the MP line. It was a really tough choice choosing between this and the MP54s but both felt just as good. Went with the MP H4 in the end as the longer irons' thicker topline and sole inspired a bit more confidence.

Not sure how they perform in real life yet.

Hi guys, been gaming my mx-25s for slightly over a year now and feel the 'itch' to upgrade my irons. Was interested in either the MP53 or the MP58 but have not had the chance to try them out. I have played a round with a friend's MP57 and although nice, I would prefer a little more forgiveness. (spoilt by the mx25 really Laughing )

Are the MP53s more forgiving then the MP58s? I have tried the JPX825s forged which were very sweet but the golfer in me feel it's time to go for a set of 'player' irons. Razz

Oh and I play to hc24 and play every weekend. I have been told to stay away from the Mp line (esp the Mp60s) until I play below 20. I know that can be an indicator too so am I being too ambitious to step up to the MP50s?

Would appreciate any thoughts and comments on these two sets.

Thanks guys.
