Hey guys , got a question :
Have been practicing with my backswing this few days but found a problem where my clubhead is shut closed at the top , so many problem when coming to impact , suffering to get consistency .
Then i remember back the David Leadbetter drill :

Problem is the first part only where is the takeaway and hinge up . Today i try this , get to the back until club parallel to the ground then i hinge up , i think my club is too upright and found it difficult to come down , coming down my ball go high in the air and slightly to the right for every shot , sth like a fade . Slice for driver and wood .
I dont understand this where david leadbetter said :Many amateurs whip the clubhead too far inside the target line with excessive hand action and little body turn, or they pick the club straight up like they're about to chop wood. Either move puts you in a bad position at the top and leads to slices and pulls because the path down to the ball is either too steep or too out-to-in.

A cadence for a good backswing position is "in and up." You can see here (above) that as I start back, I'm pushing the butt end of the club "in" while the clubhead stays out. When I turn back to a point where the shaft is about parallel to the ground, I then hinge my wrists letting the clubshaft work "up," with the butt end pointing down.

Today i think back how i play today and come out with some conclusion where I m hinging my wrist but the body is not turning properly . ( i m thinking this is the reason my club went too upright and chop down from the above and slice or cut )
Correct me if i m wrong .
I don't know whether i need to continue working on this drill anot .

Please help !!!! Thank you very much !!!! Very Happy

I tried it for back swing. However, the result still depends on the downswing.

The move backward should be like a pendulum movement with your arms, while your wrists remain stiff. a good tip for making sure that this is correct is by staring the action by dropping your left shoulder; this will get the pendulum motion started.

Life is short, go and have fun while you still can
