Played this course a few times already, it's an interesting course but it never give me any memorable moments thus far, might be due to bad scores. Haha.

Overall, it's a short course, always teed up from the black tee box and still manage to handle the course. The par 3s are killer, requires long iron or even hybrid tee off.

Played this morning with the Mrs.
Course was generally okay even after a heavy down pour.
Note that the course is inundated with water hazards, sometimes left, sometimes right and sometimes both left and right.
Long tee off has its risk but also its rewards.
Being able to shape your shots would also be a plus point.
Our first time there and lost a few balls with our wayward shots.
Generally a short course which is why they also have black tees available for play.
Shower facilities good as it is still new.
The food at the club was also okay except that it was slightly on the pricey side. The seafood outside as per some of the other postings may be cheaper.
Note that there is quite a long stretch of road with no lights and will be dark if you finish and go back late.

Just played at Amverton last Thursday. I love this course. It's not too hard. It was my first time, and the caddie helped a lot to give pointers on hazards to avoid and distances to hit. Because of that, we played out of trouble and completed the course clean.

I also love the buggy on course rule because:
1. It saves time to walk back and forth the buggy.
2. It saves energy from walking, therefore not as tired as other courses, which means better game focus and enjoyment.
3. Finish the game earlier than what I usually play at other courses.

Even though there were many flights on the day, probably because of the design of the course, the play wasn't jammed up.

What is the cost of playing here? Played once awhile back and not bad except for the long drive!

Its an amazing course! i played in it during puasa month and it was only like rm100 all in with caddy and buggy. But yes the drive was loooonggg...nonetheless, its a good weekend retreat for the family too. Many play sites for children. So i suggest u bring ur families there for 1-2 nites stay. Bringing family also easier to get 'visa' right? haha

Played Amverton in the week of Aug 14.

Greens were quite fast, abt 9.5-10, but 2 greens were noticeably slower abt 8.5-9.

It rained in the 2 days before our game so the fairways were soft but fairly dry. The area around 3-4 greens was wet making chipping difficult.

Sand in the bunkers was wet but "fluffed up" so no problems with hard packed sand...
