I am wondering what king of loyal mygolfer when considering yourself post less than 50 for the past 3 years. yet do you active in the event organised by mygolf?? Loyal doesn't mean how long you have joined, but how much you contribute

like other said, if what what you keen is just the BST, why not post it somewhere else like Mudah or Lelong.

I've registered myself since 2008...long time hei, but never really active in the forum cos it was quite new then. Not a hardcore forumer after all.

Neverthelss, MGC is part of my news source for golf updates. They are quite informative and first hand.

Recently I realised there's a BST thread and tried to search for some golf stuff and thought why not try to clear some space in the store with so many acive members throught out the years. I did my posting in the wee hours, snapping pictures and all in my Note 2...imagine the screen size.. After spending 30 min on it, i got a reply this morning.

When clicking on my thread, it says 'No such thread'? Rather surprised and shock, i read the rules thread. In fact I did everything right only to miss out the '50 posting rule'...I'm not sure if it's a fair call but just to leave a note here.

I'm not a seller in any commercial forum/website but i just did it for the first time and got rejected... Nevertheless, there's local rules to be adhered to so guess have to follow lah..

Not complaining nor angry...Just a view

Yep....seems like they are joining the forum for their own commercial purposes i.e selling used golf clubs or equipment.

Why don't fully utilize mudah.my or lelong.com.my for that purpose...let's make it easy for everybody...

Golf is known as a gentleman's game, and also a self governing game. The onus of any golfer is to play by the rules and to own up to any rules infraction without others having to catch them.

When in doubt, ask for advice from flight mates before executing the shot.

When a golfer breaks a rule, whether knowingly or unknowingly, he learns what to do when the same situation arrives. He does not go around complaining that the rule does not suit him.

Rules are there to create a fair playing field for everyone. No one is above the rules, it is up to the individual to make the effort to read and understand them.

Be a gentleman golfer, respect the rules.

BTW rules should be reviewed and changed appropriately to keep them relevant. However, feedback of rules should come from experienced golfers who have played the game for a long time and who play by the rules.

I doubt that feedback from fresh beginners ,who have not clocked enough games and experience, will carry much weight.

I may sound harsh, but the truth does not require any sugar coating .

your job is a thankless one. keep it up. you are doing a good job.

I am new and i tried following the rules to post at BTS. but apparently i missed on the part where u have to post 50 times before being eligible. So MOD pls rewrite that part so it shows off and ppl can instantly see it. Unlike me few post already, and deleted. waste my time. but my bad for not noticing.

After receiving all the feedback from our members and discussion with the moderator, we would like to flex a bit on the posting rules.

We understand that 50 posts required prior posting in BST does sound unfair to our silent but active members.
As such, from today onwards (8th July 2013), we allowed our members, with more than 1 year, or 12 months to be precise, to post in BST column.

We would like to assure you that we always try to find the best solution for both parties.

Effective from today, new requirements as following:

Buy, Sell & Trade : Posting Requirements (either one requirement need to be fulfilled)

1. Minimum of 50 posts before allowed to post in 'Buy, Sell & Trade', or

2. Minimum 1 year membership.

Although I don't intend to sell any. Good Job Brian and the rest.

Hi Fellow Golfers of MyGolf,
Seems no one has been on this topic since the last comment on Oct 11, 2013. For a newbie, this is my 'virgin' post so does that mean there's another 49 posts to go before I can have a "Quick Sale" for my irons? Hmmm....reckon my set would be rusted by the time I surpass 50. Oh well, house rules dictates so gotta comply. Any advise on alternatives online sites apart from here & Mudah, guys? Just trying my luck.....

You can start to be active... 49 post isn't that far.. We want to make this forum more active. Alternativel, you can post your item as offers to WTB tthread. Every now and then there will be people looking for stuff.
