This is an interesting one. Lydia broke records and achieved so much early in her young career so there's the expectation that she will continue to win regularly. Sure she's gone through equipment, coaches, caddies and what not but I think she's a gifted player and will win again soon once the changes 'settle' down.

I agree that she will win again. I just don't think she will ever dominate again. Too much competition from very good players that hit the ball 40 yards further than her.

I think she needs to play to her advantage - precision. Doubt she'll ever match the fire power, she's trying to maybe to close the gap. I think the one that left here and costing her deary is her short game and putting. Agreed that many more younger players with length and consistencies will make it harder. Play to your advantage, is the answer I think

While I agree that there's really strong competition from the ladies on the LPGA, wasn't Lydia getting out driven / out hit when she dominated? I am not familiar with the stats on the LPGA so I will have to defer to you Tony Very Happy

Yes, it is true that she was getting outdriven when she was dominating. The difference is 1) She was much more accurate off the tea, and (2) Her short game was making up for her lack of distance.

Also, there are many new players that have come onto the tour in the last couple of years who are driving the ball 30 to 40 yards further, resulting in her dropping in driving distance ranking, even if her distance remains the same. It is hard to win when your are using a 5 iron coming into the green and your 2 playing partners are using 9 irons.
