New to the forum, made this account just for some questions about the Malaysian golf scene.

Me and a buddy of mine is traveling to asia for a 3 week golftrip and planning on staying 1 week in Malaysia, now i am a beginner, just started under a year ago, from Norway so not so much golfing during winter (about 4-5 months tops during a year) my friend is a 12 hdcp, and im at 28.

Im wondering about some suggestions and tips on good courses for us to go to on our stay in Malaysia that isnt extremely strict on time and dont have a hdcp limit, which i have encountered in some other countries, not being able to play there because my hdcp was simply too high.

Welcome to Malaysia. If you are here to enjoy yourself probably I would recommend to stay somewhere in Malacca. There are few good courses there and close to tourists destinations. The courses are near each other so easy transportation.

As I remember no issue with high handicapper but of course for better experience you should target to play during week days so that the course is not crowded and you can take a bit more time. I think in general that would be the case for most courses in MY.

Have a great time in MY!
