My first putter was Nike something. held it for 3-4 month and it felt terrible after i tried a Ping Crazy. both are right handed.

Then i tried left handed scotty (dunno which model). I actly dont care about model, just the feel. And i have never putted more than 34 per round. usually around 28-32.

Still using that old left handed scotty. (that time i didnt know scotty was so 'famous'). i was still new to the game.

But now, i think driver is also important cuz after i change the shaft (the old one broke), i just couldnt hit it in fairway anymore... i mean most of the time...

As in all clubs, do try to get custom fitted. A good clubfitter will be able to see how you roll your putts. Few things they will look out for are:

1) How you set up for a putt

2) Ball position

3) Your putting stroke

4) Left or right eye dominant

5) Putting grip

The above is just some of the variables. Then you can determine:

1) Length of putter

2) Style of putter ie mallet, blade, toe hang, balanced etc

3) Loft of putter

Once fitted, they will help address aiming and true roll of the ball.

As for reading the greens and adapting to the speed, thats another matter altogether.

Happy golfing!
