Hi there, anyone been to kota damansara extreme park DR and glenmarie DR? Is there any free flow DR here?

May I know the operating hours and how much balls cost? Can I get the exact address for kota damansara extreme park as I can't find it online.

Any DR that I can play on the grass? Which course can I practice putting and chipping area?

I'd need some advice for term or lease membership for golf course in Klang valley.

In Glenmarie DR, you can hit from the grass. also you have chipping zone, putting area and bunker for practice.
Glenmarie DR open till 8pm only.

For the membership, it will be good that you tell us about your budget because there are many courses here offering different prices, from as low as 6k to 450k.

sorry that I cannot share anything about the KD because I never been there.

For DR in KD, due to the project next door, the hitting distance is only about 150m, not suitable if you want to practice driver.

Used to be there were more choices and costs were more affordable to join a golf club but seems like in recent years prices have rocketed and choices much limited now.
First - term memberships and leasing - very few now in Klang valley area - probably Impian(term) might still have and Saujana(leasing) as well as maybe Danau(term) - the costs or prices you will have to check up. Last time Bangi also offered even monthly term memberships.
Then you have the transferable and non-transferable life time memberships - just a few years back KRPM was only going for less than 20K but now heard market rate is above 50K - this is transferable. KRTU probably the most affordable one now still below 10K but is non-transferable and had a big influx of new members from those few clubs which closed down recently and also due to its price and location - heard it's quite crowded and difficult to get tee times now.
Staffield and Nilai also quite affordable below 20K I believe but a bit far away.
Another option would be to join an outstation club which in terms of costs could be much lower and use their affiliation to play around.

Fyi nilai springs offers annual golf membership around 2.7k per year.

If consider as Klang valley area - this is quite reasonable
As member no need to take caddy so save a bit and also can walk 9 holes certain time if not mistaken.

Too bad KD can't play driver. The rest is good enough for me.

Any driving range that open till late or midnight instead of 8pm or 10pm?

u can go to Bukit Puchong driving range, which open till 12

Or Bukit Jelutong driving range which is open till 2 to 3 am daily.

for bukit puchong, you can play on the grass, but the condition is not as good. it doesn't have chipping and putting area.

I would suggest you practice your putting at home using the putting matt, buy a good quality one. not the RM99 quality.
when you practice at home, your aim is to practice the putting stroke and arc, not the distance judgment. If you want to get the right distance judgment, go take Aimpoint which it could help you. I did take Aimpoint, and I reduce my 3 putts tremendous, also I increase the % of the ball near to the cup if I don't hole it.

Nyc, there are designated grass hitting areas at the sides of the driv8ng range. Unfortunately, there is no putting or chipping ground.

The other alternative is Monterez GCC driving range which has a chipping and putting area that is usually lighted up till 10pm while the range closes at 12 midnite.

Hi magic, aimpoint sounds interesting, can u share more about that? Where did u take the course? How much it costs? How many lesson u completed in order for u to improve from 3 putts? Thanks a lot.

Monterez chipping putting area only open at night during weekdays.. Up till 10pm. The range operates close to midnight daily.

Aimpoint don't teach you putting mechanics. I also don't see it helping in distance control.. You have to have a good feel on distance control. What it does is help you to read the breaks/slope.

You can take the course from I think Mines and Tropicana. I believe was posted here in the forum before. They have schedule, and typically you can take the express version which is the dominant one and pros are iusing it since it'svery sstraightforward. Fee if not mistaken around rm500. Now I think they break up to 3 class... Level 1, 2 and competitive. Competitive if you want to use in competition.. They probably train you how to practice and on course details.

You only need level 1 aand 2. 3 up to you. When I take it up.. There's only 1 class.. Aimpoint Express. I took mine at Tropicana. You can ssearch for Steve Gulliani - he's the certified instructor at the mines. I think he posted here in forum before.
